Demolition and Discovery

The house has some great elements that I'd like to keep intact--walls, woodwork, a pocket door, etc. This will limit the scope of the project, but will complicate electrical, plumbing and HVAC work. The ceilings need to be replaced anyway, and once demolished, provide access to the walls for infrastructure work.

The old pocket door between the living room and dining room is original to the house, and has some very cool hardware. This will be restored to full working order with a little grease. Lumber throughout the structure is solid and over sized, a quality structure.

Good Bones

The rich architectural elements that separate this rowhouse from others that I toured are still relatively intact. Most notably the staircase and door trim.
